It's clear to us all that the world has changed enormously in even the past few decades – and the impact of the technological advances has been felt in all areas of life. Nevertheless, the need for entertainment, education and fun throughout the school holidays has never wavered from the 1980's to the present day – and that's where Camp Beaumont have come in.
For over four decades, Camp Beaumont Day Camps have been providing exceptional experiences throughout the school holidays for children aged 3 to 14 – but it's fair to say that the experiences look a little different today!
These advancements in technology have helped us reach even more children and families – with the advent of the internet and online booking systems through to the ability to sign children in on a tablet and access all the information required at the touch of a button parents can be reassured that their children are safer than ever at Camp Beaumont.
Technological advances can be credited to some extent when it comes to Camp Beaumont expanding across the globe into Asia and Hong Kong – without video calling and high-speed internet, this would have been almost impossible to achieve logistically.
Education looks a little different these days, too, with focus on wellbeing, mental health and active learning coming to the forefront in recent years. Camp Beaumont have never been afraid to move with the times, and while many day camps provide experiences in arts and crafts or sport, Camp Beaumont strive to provide much more than this to each and every one of their campers.
To this end, In2action were involved in creating, designing and implementing a brand new programme for a brand new era at Camp Beaumont, focusing specifically on giving campers a rounded experience with chance to be active, connect with others and make friends, express themselves, explore the outdoors, relax and unwind, and learn something new.
The exciting new programme guidelines allow for all this and more within a camp day – for example, we provide imaginative, role play sessions for younger children and high-octane, active sessions for those needing to let off some steam! Of course, technology has had an impact on the activities we are able to provide too, with campers able to take part in Mini Coding sessions.
No one can predict what the future holds or what the world will look like twenty, thirty or forty years from now – but what we do know is that Camp Beaumont will be ready to adapt and react to an ever changing world and keep on delivering inspiring adventures throughout the school holidays.
The staff are brilliant: enthusiastic, kind and engaged. The range of activities is great and the hours are really helpful for working parents. Most importantly our son always comes home happy and tired from a fun day.
