Summer Camp 2020 is almost coming to an end at Camp Beaumont, and what an exciting adventure it’s been. But before we pack away our activities and our brilliant teams’ wave farewell, there are still a few weeks left to go! For all the lucky 3 to 16 year olds and parents who live nearby, we have three fantastic Camps staying open until 28th August. Find out what our Camp Managers have to say about these fantastic host schools…

Croydon High School

Croydon High School is set in acres of land and boasts impressive sports facilities including tennis and netball courts, a sports hall, dance studio and gymnasium. Croydon is a brilliant site for our multi-activity programmes for all ages as it has an absolutely huge sports field and adventure playground; Campers have loved running around outdoors this summer after spending lots of time at home. We have hosted lots of activities each day for each age group; teens have loved dodgeball and our Playtime Campers have loved giant bubble blowing. Our summer team of Activity Leaders have also been really attentive and have loved getting involved with the activities; beat the instructors has been a firm favourite across all ages at Croydon! We are sad to be closing our doors for summer at the end of August, as we also have had the best time! But we are one of the last Camps to close for summer, and we will be back for October half-term too, so don’t miss out!

St. Helen’s

It has been an absolute pleasure to lead the team at St Helen’s this summer. We have had a blast and made the most of the school’s incredible facilities which include sports grounds, music and performing arts halls, and spacious classrooms for arts and crafts; our younger Campers have loved painting and being super creative with catwalk shows and clay making. There’s loads of outdoor space too which has helped us with operating social distancing and keeping groups safe in bubbles. There’s still time to book a day camp experience for your child at St Helen’s this summer as we are one of the last camps to remain open. Really excitingly from September we will be the first to host breakfast and after school clubs for St Helen’s pupils. Plus, we will be returning for more day camp fun for all children this October half-term.

Mill Hill School

In a word, wow! We’ve been delivering outstanding multi-activity experiences at Mill Hill School for over 30 years! Mill Hill is truly a state-of-the-art school, and the team and I have loved spending the summer here having the time of our lives with all our Campers. It’s a particularly great site because we have an extensive amount of outdoor space which has allowed us to still enjoy all of our sports activities whilst staying safe. We have also run fantastic new activities, which we launched across all our sites this summer, and we’ve received lots of positive reviews from children and parents. Parents have been pleased to see their children leaving camp with at least 15,000 steps a day! Along with a massive smile. I love coming back every holiday to see all the returners and getting to know new Campers. Particular activity favourites have been Robin Hood mini-archery for our Playtime group, clay workshops for Magic, nightline for Active, and water wars for Teens. We will also be back for October half-term and I hope to welcome your child then if not this summer – there are still a few late places available.

The staff are brilliant: enthusiastic, kind and engaged. The range of activities is great and the hours are really helpful for working parents. Most importantly our son always comes home happy and tired from a fun day.
