This summer we have had an absolute blast hosting all of our happy camp-goers at camps all around London, Kent, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Sussex.
Whether it was cooling off with super soakers and water fights during the unprecedented heatwave, or scaling indoor climbing walls on a drizzly day, we did it all this year!
Each of our camps has something unique that keeps people coming back year after year, but what exactly did we get up to at some of our camps this year? Let’s take a look at some of the highlights…
Our camp at Hobbledown offers a plethora of facilities and activities including indoor and outdoor play, as well as the chance to interact with some special permanent residents such as otters, camels, tortoises and their very own raptor centre! It’s a HOOT. This year we enjoyed seeing our groups take part in the Thinkery show and CB’s Got Talent shows, battle the high ropes (and the low ropes!), treasure hunt around the grounds and make crafty versions of their favourite animal friends!
Our brilliant team at Reigate St Mary’s spent the summer encouraging our camp-goers to try as many new skills as possible. We saw our campers create catwalk-ready outfits from everyday materials, try their hand at circus skills, as well as take part in the exciting aqua Olympics – there's nothing like a bit of water gun archery to keep the heat at bay! Brand new sensory trays were loaded up for our Playtime group, ready for some messy fun, whilst others spend the day earning their Quidditch certificates!
The world is full of exciting experiences that we thoroughly celebrated at Bishop Challoner School this summer. We took to the grounds on a bug hunt to learn about all of the wonderful creatures we share our environment with. There was face painting, circus skills and special visits from Zoolab's exotic animals. With smiles on everyone's faces, our groups also took to the playground for a timeless classic – parachute games!
