Could there be a future Olympian at Camp Beaumont this summer? The Paris 2024 Olympics has got us very excited about the thrill of sports and friendly competition. Who will be the winners of our Mini Olympic Games each week? Which are less about winning and more about playful fun with foam javelins and silly walking relay races. Our summer activity programmes are designed to suit the age groups and interests of our campers. Check out our sample itineraries, here
Discover more about some of our sports-based sessions happening across Camp Beaumont this summer:
Children work together using soft play items to build obstacle courses. They’ll then go against the clock to win awards for the best courses! Challenges include running, racing, jumping and more, to ultimately be crowned a Soft Play Ninja!
We love tennis. It is such a great activity for all ages, encouraging balance, hand and eye coordination, as well as gross motor skill development. From Tots Tennis to Tennis Academy, we teach children the basic tennis skills to build on for a lifetime of tennis enjoyment.
We go on a bug hunt around the Camp Beaumont grounds to see what creepy crawlies we can find. There are also plenty of active games like a race to build a beetle and our classic cockroach race.
These land-based water games are great fun for everyone! Children will play games like the water balloon and spoon race and sponge tag, as well as getting the chance to splat their instructor with water.
Campers will be able to stomp and roar in this session all about dinosaurs. Beginning with lots of t-rex races and a hunt to find some dinosaurs, children will then be able to make a dinosaur mask to take home as well as playdough dinosaur fossils. At the end of the activity children will watch a homemade volcano erupt!
There are lots of opportunities for children to take part in soccer sessions, catch the flag, and other hand and ball sports. Our enthusiastic coaches lead the way, creating fun and friendly sessions that build confidence and physical fitness.
This session is all about action! Children will be enrolled in a Superhero Academy and led through their challenges by the instructor. They’ll be tested for super speed, super strength, as well as the beginnings of learning to fly in the super jump tests. They’ll then get to create a new superhero identity and make an ID card to take home.
Children are put into teams for this activity before competing in races including the hurdles and the silly relay, as well as having a turn at throwing a foam javelin and ending with a team game of catching volleyball.
Balance beams, hopscotch, jumping, running and throwing – it’s all in this active session. They’ll be encouraged to dance, step and move around their gym tots arena with lots of games and musical activities too.
Using soft archery sets with sucker arrows, children will be transformed into some of Robin Hood’s Merry Men – and they need to hit the target to make sure the Sherriff is beaten! Through lots of games including taking from the rich and giving to the poor, as well as finding out their new future.
Using animal poses and a story, this activity introduces children to learn the basics of yoga moves and stretches. As well as mindfulness.
An age-appropriate circuit training activity where children take part in fun activities that are also getting them active and fit at the same time. Skipping ropes, jumping jacks and balance beams are all on the schedule.
The instructor lays down a variety of challenges in this activity and teens try and beat them – who will come out victorious?

The staff are brilliant: enthusiastic, kind and engaged. The range of activities is great and the hours are really helpful for working parents. Most importantly our son always comes home happy and tired from a fun day.
